The Woodlands is divided up into 9 Villages and 2 Sub-Villages which are designed to be self contained all with their own parks, shopping centers, restaurants and walking pathways, so there is no need to drive very far to get to what you need.

The Woodlands Villages Overview

Grogan’s Mill, located at the Southeast part of The Woodlands, is closest to Interstate 45, so people who have to commute to Houston find this particular village of The Woodlands very desirable for this reason.

Town Center village is right above Grogan’s Mill and includes the lions share of the areas retail shopping and restaurants, in addition to that it also includes the upscale East Shore area of The Woodlands as it lays on the East Shore of Lake Woodlands.

College Park and Harper’s Landing are to the Northeast of The Woodlands and include most of the area major medical centers, as well as Montgomery County’s Lone Star College.

Just to the west of College Park is the village of Alden Bridge which runs along the very Northern part of The Woodlands.

To the South of Alden Bridge are the villages of Cochran’s Crossing and Panther Creek, which encompass the center section of The Woodlands. Panther Creek also runs along the West shores of Lake Woodlands and has some of the areas most sought after waterfront property.

The two Southern villages of The Woodlands which are also the newest are Indian Springs and Creekside Park. Like most all of The Woodlands you will find lots of green space and parks in this area, you can also find the George Mitchell nature preserve.

Located at the West end of The Woodlands is Sterling Ridge, which includes the very exclusive community of Carlton Woods. People looking for a gated community with resort like amenities and a golf course, along with some extra elbow room, will not want to pass this section by!
